How you’ll qualify

To become a member of the ATT, you must sit and pass two compulsory core papers and a third non-core paper, three online Computer Based Examinations and have two years of practical experience.

The ATT qualification

You must register as a student with the ATT and be over 16 years old at least four months before you can apply to sit the exams.

Exam Registration


Exam sittings take place twice a year. Register with the Association of Taxation Technicians by the end of February for the May examinations and by the end of August for the November examinations.
