Distance Learning
At the heart of all our courses is our distance learning course. You receive a wealth of targeted material that allows you to study in your own time and at your own pace. The material comprises:
- Study manuals
- Question banks
- Memory joggers
- Audio visual lectures where applicable – based on the Tolley Tax Tutor product
- Practice exams – which are marked by Tolley
- Access to tutor support via the online Tolley Academy
Our ‘Print and Online’ option gives you paper and online copies of the study manuals, question banks, and memory joggers. Our ‘Online’ option does not include paper copies.
For both the print and online options, revision question banks and practice exams are only available online via our Tolley On-Screen Mock (TOM) system.
Tuition – Online Tuition Live or classroom
Enhance your Distance Learning with face-to-face classroom or virtual Online Tuition Live (OTL) courses delivered by experienced tutors. These courses explain the technical topics in a straightforward way, focusing on the key areas for the examination.
OTL provides you with the same high-quality teaching you receive in the classroom but with the added flexibility of joining from the comfort of your own home or office. All sessions are recorded so you can watch any sessions you miss, or re-cap on any topics you’re unsure of.

Revision – Online Tuition Live or classroom
Fine tune your technical knowledge and practice your exam technique via face-to-face classroom or Online Tuition Live (OTL) courses. You will practice questions under exam conditions and then review them together with the tutor to ensure your knowledge and exam technique are spot on.
OTL provides you with the same high-quality revision you receive in the classroom but with the added flexibility of joining from the comfort of your own home or office. All sessions are recorded so you can watch any sessions you miss, or re-cap on any topics you’re unsure of.

Guaranteed Pass Scheme (GPS)
Our Guaranteed Pass Scheme (GPS) ensures you have the ability and confidence to pass first time with Tolley. The scheme combines our tuition and revision courses, with the option to attend face-to-face or Online Tuition Live (OTL) courses.
All eligible students enrolled on this programme will be given one free distance learning and revision course in the unlikely event that they fail their examinations.
GPS Blended Learning
All the benefits of our GPS scheme with the option to combine study methods. Choose face-to-face tuition with online revision, or online tuition with face-to-face revision.
Material Only
This comprises the hard copy study manual, question bank and memory jogger. It does not include practice exams, online access or tutor support.
CBE Question Practice
Available for all the CBEs, this comprises an online question bank and access to our online test centre. You can also include tuition for the CBEs which consist of Online Tuition Live (OTL) courses. In addition, students must purchase the study manuals directly from ATT/CIOT.
All study options, apart from Material Only and CBE Question Practice, include access to our innovative Tolley On-Screen Mock (TOM) system where all question banks and practice exams are accessed. TOM simulates the real exam to enable you to view and answer the questions in your question banks on-screen and to type up and submit your mock exams online, supporting you in your preparation for your online ATT, CTA and ADIT exams.
