How it works

Under the Joint Programme, you study 14 out of the 15 ACA modules and choose one specialist CTA Advanced Technical paper to gain the ACA qualification. Take one further CTA paper together with the Ethics Computer Based Exam to gain the CTA qualification.

How the Joint Programme works

The benefits

Specialise in tax from the start of your studies and gain two highly valued qualifications. Duplication of content is reduced so you are not examined on the same subjects twice.

Benefits of the Joint Programme

Tolley are the only tuition provider to offer material and courses for all CTA Advanced Technical papers, Application and Professional Skills papers, and ADIT Paper 2.09, all of which can be taken as part of the ACA/CTA Joint Programme.

Registration

Students and employers usually decide to enter the Joint Programme at the start of their studies. However, ACA students can join the Joint Programme provided they have not yet sat the Business Planning: Taxation module.

  • You must register first as an ACA student before you can apply for the Joint Programme
  • When you have received your ACA student number, you can register with the CIOT
