Biography:
Janet Paterson has a strong technical background in tax, her qualifications being as a chartered accountant, chartered tax advisor, member of the society of trust and estate practitioners and a member of the institute of indirect taxation. Furthermore, Janet is the Chairman of the Fleet Chapter of the VAT Practitioners Group, a member of the International Tax Planning Association and a member of the International Fiscal Association.
Janet left the position she held for nearly 5 years as the international tax and VAT partner in the Tunbridge Wells accountancy firm, Creaseys LLP, to join Charter Tax. As well as enjoying helping all manner of clients find tax efficient solutions, Janet regularly contributes to the tax professional press and is the author of a number of notable titles, including Tolleys Property Tax Planning, Tolleys Digest on the New Remittance rules, plus the residency chapter in Tottell's Planning and editing the International Services chapter in Tolleys VAT Planning.
