    Biography:

    Krish realised his childhood dream by qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2008. He follows a rich lineage of Chartered Accountants in the family with an overall experience of more than a century.

    Krish is a partner in the firm which was founded by his father three decades ago. He heads the tax compliance and the representation practice in his firm.

    Krish specializes in new company set-up, GST and direct taxation in international tax, corporation tax and capital gains tax for his clientele who are predominantly large Indian companies and multinational companies from the UK, US and Japan.

    In the last decade, Krish has worked extensively on tax due diligence, drafting legal opinions on tax matters, updating the client’s business with the why, how and what of tax policies accompanied by a clear call to action. His knowledge in accounting, passion for consistent legal research and mentoring gives him an edge in the timely and successful completion of tax cases before the tax authorities and tribunals.

    Biography:

    Ronnie is regarded as one of the UKs leading tax dispute specialists. Over the last 25 years Ronnie has specialised in the field of HMRC investigations and tax dispute resolution working alongside a broad range of clients, both corporate and personal. He has successfully assisted his clients to resolve a wide range of investigations, enquiries, disputes and disclosures and has built up an enviable reputation of obtaining some great results.

    More recently Ronnie has worked extensively in the sports industry where he has represented a number of leading sports clubs and professionals to resolve their outstanding issues with HMRC. He is regarded as a specialist in the area of the taxation of image right payments and has recently authored the relevant chapter in the latest edition of Sport: Law and Practice (Lewis Taylor).

    Ronnie is a regular lecturer at national tax investigations conferences and is one of a handful of Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) accredited mediators operating in the UK tax market.

    Prior to joining PwC Ronnie spent several years as a tax inspector with HMRC. He was seconded back to HMRC in 2011 where he worked with a team of senior HMRC policy officials on the Review of Tax Disputes. The outcome of this review led to, amongst other things, the publication of updated guidance on HMRCs Litigation and Settlement Strategy and the commencement of HMRC pilots on the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) methods to resolve outstanding tax disputes.

    Penny is a highly respected pensions lawyer. She advises individuals, employers and pension trustees on their pension arrangements. She works closely with Irwin Mitchell LLP's employment team on crossover areas such as employers' duties for pension compliance (including auto-enrolment), employer pension committees, or pension tax changes.  She advises on how an employer can change their pension plan to maximise the benefit they and their workforce receive from it.  She also works closely with Irwin Mitchell LLP's private wealth team on pension issues such as the impact of the proposed changes to how inheritance tax applies to pension savings, as well as advice on small self administered schemes (SSASs) and what happens to pensions when someone moves abroad. Recently she's been looking at the impact of the new FOG (non-domicile) legislation on income from overseas pensions. From the corporate perspective, Penny advises employers and banks on questions over the Pension Schemes Act 2021 and the extended powers which this Act gives to The Pensions Regulator to enforce against anyone who is in involved in the mis-management of defined benefit, final salary pension plans. She also now regularly advises on the use of surplus and is interested in how employers and trustees have to balance their various interests over how it is used. With this, the Government is trying to use pension surplus as a way to grow the UK economy. Finally, Penny sits as a professional trustee for various organisations.
