Biography:
I originally qualified as a barrister, but never practised. After qualifying ATT and CTA at Grant Thornton, I worked in several accountancy firms as well as being a lecturer at Mercia and a technical officer at the CIOT. I specialise in trusts and capital taxes with a particular interest in agriculture; I am a full member of STEP. I continue to lecture on a freelance basis and contribute to various tax publications and have published a book titled 'Implied Trusts & Beneficial Ownership in UK Tax Law'. I am the author of the Tolley annual on National Insurance Contributions.
