    Amanda has over 20 years’ experience in tax training and designs and writes the bespoke study manuals for the ADIT Energy Resources and Transfer Pricing papers as well as the classroom material for these papers.  She has also designed and written a lot of the classroom material for the ADIT paper 2.09 UK option and has reviewed the Paper 1 Principles of International Tax manual to ensure that it is syllabus focussed.

    Amanda uses a lot of humour in her classroom courses and has a very practical approach to both the law and the exams.

    Karen is an experienced employee benefits lawyer with more than 20 years' experience in advising companies of all sizes in relation to their employee benefit and remuneration issues.     Biography:

    Raffaele Russo is an expert on international taxation and on international and domestic tax policy. He is currently Partner at Chiomenti Law Firm and a Senior Fellow at the Amsterdam Centre for Tax Law (ACTL) at the University of Amsterdam (UvA).

    With over 20 years of professional experience, Raffaele has held key positions in renowned international and domestic institutions, including the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD) in Amsterdam, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris, and the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance in Rome.

    At the OECD, he worked on double tax treaties and on transfer pricing. He played a key role in launching and delivering groundbreaking projects like the OECD work on tax and crimes and the work on aggressive tax planning, which later became the OECD/G20 BEPS Project, which he led until the delivery of the first phase of the Project in 2015.

    During his service at the Italian Ministry of economy and finance, he focused on reforming the tax administration and on the digitalization of invoices and receipts. He was then appointed Deputy Chief of Cabinet in charge of taxation and of digitalization from early 2020 to March 2021.

    He lectures in leading universities around the world and speaks frequently at conferences and seminars. He has published more than 100 articles in Italian and foreign journals.

    He is member of the Rome Bar (Italy) since 2022.

    Ros is a HR and payroll industry professional with over 30 years’ experience. Having fellow status of the CIPP, HEA and the CMI, as well as gaining individual chartered status with the CMI, she has proven experience within the strategic HR and payroll community, and from 2014 was elected to, and served as, a non-executive director on the CIPP board for almost 6 years, helping shape the future of the institute. Ros is also a member of the Reward 300 2021 as a ‘Knowledge and Professional Services Leader’.

    Industry experience includes 12 years working in the HR and Payroll outsourcing industry, having previously worked for Ceridian, LogicaCMG, and NorthgateArinso in implementation, quality, consultancy, and strategic management roles.     Papa Bathie Gueye holds the US CPA and a Master of Science in Taxation from the Lubin School of Business at Pace University in New York. As a member of the AICPA since 2012 and the Chartered Accountancy Board of Senegal (ONECCA) since 2014 Papa has extensive experience in the accounting, tax and legal landscape.

    Papa is bilingual in French and English, and is well-versed in both Senegalese and US accounting standards and tax laws, as well as international tax. He is also familiar with US GAAP and IFRS, and was a speaker at the 2017 African Congress Of Accountants (ACOA) in Uganda where he discussed the implementation of IFRS standards in Africa.

    By working for an international accounting network in Senegal for almost a decade Papa has represented clients large and small and has been instrumental in supporting many branches and subsidiaries of foreign companies navigate the uncertain and changing landscape of tax law in West Africa.

    Papa has hands-on experience with local administrative procedures and legislation affecting clients in the oil and gas industry, telecommunications, infrastructure, financial services and NGO sectors, and prides himself on staying ahead of the law’s frequent changes.
