John has been involved in tax training for 20 years. He joined Tolley Exam Training in 2008 after spending 25 years with Kaplan Financial. He lectures on courses for both CTA and ATT students and is heavily involved in the production of our course materials.
John qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Peat, Marwick Mitchell & Co in 1981. In 1982, he joined Financial Training as an accountancy tutor lecturing and writing in various areas of accounting. In the mid-nineties he decided to focus on tax training, becoming a Chartered Tax Adviser. He transferred to the tax division, which specialised in training candidates for the CTA and ATT exams. He subsequently became a member of STEP, developing an expertise in Trusts and Estates.
